CARAM (Centre for Advanced Research on Alternative Medicine) is an NGO (Non-Government Organisation) has been established in the year 1994. The Organization has Registered under Societies
Registration Act under XXI -1860 dated 8th Feb 1999-2000 (District Khordha), Regd No.BBS-144-313/1999-2000 & 18th October 2004 -2005 (Inspector General Registered (IGR) Cuttack), Regd No.-21961 /139, State level Odisha.
CARAM is a dedicated NGO working to uplift the tribal, rural, and urban poor across Odisha and other regions. With a focus on eradicating poverty, promoting social inclusion, and advocating for justice and good governance, CARAM empowers communities through development initiatives, capacity building, and training. The organization’s key areas include rural livelihoods, education, disaster response, health, environment, gender equality, child protection, and skill development for youth. CARAM’s unique development model operates both at the grassroots level and through partnerships with other NGOs, making a lasting impact in Odisha, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.

Collaborating with other NGOs, we amplify our efforts in addressing critical issues across Odisha, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana, empowering communities through focused programs.
In Odisha, CARAM operates actively in the districts of Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Nabarangpur. Here, we engage with local communities to foster long-term solutions, ranging from infrastructure development and environmental conservation to skill development and healthcare services. By integrating local needs with expert interventions, we ensure that our initiatives are both relevant and effective, transforming lives at the grassroots level.
Through these concerted efforts, CARAM’s geographical footprint continues to expand, bringing about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities, while contributing to the holistic development of the regions we serve.
